Every head of hair has its own density, cowlicks, and wave pattern.
Here is how I adjust the proportions behind the chair.

Matching Layers & Tones to Your Features
For a more angular face shape, you may want to consider a slightly shorter cut with more defined layers.
This will help to create a more geometric look that will balance out the angles of your face.
For a rounder face shape, you may want to opt for a longer cut with less defined layers, as this will help to create a more oval silhouette.
When it comes to hair texture, you’ll want to consider the thickness and density of your hair.
If you have fine or thin hair, you may want to opt for a shorter cut with more defined layers to add volume and texture.
If you have thicker or curlier hair, you may want to consider a longer cut with less defined layers to help control the frizz and add shine.
✂️ Face-Shape & Density Quick Match
- Fine-to-Medium Strands: Keep perimeter weight blunt and add micro-ribbons around the face for visual fullness.
- Thick or Wavy Hair: Use internal slide-cutting to release weight so waves stack without triangle bulk.
- Warm vs. Cool Skin Undertones: Pair golden-olive skin with honey, caramel, or espresso glosses; pair cool undertones with champagne, ash, or mocha ribbons.
