2. Customizing for Your Face Shape & Hair Texture
Welcome to Part 2 of my salon guide on Moonstone Bridal Hair Vine: Silver Wedding Headpiece.
Every head of hair has its own density, cowlicks, and wave pattern—here is how I adjust the proportions behind the chair.

Matching Layers & Tones to Your Features
For those with a round or square face shape, I recommend adding more internal layers to the hair to create a softer, more rounded silhouette.
This will help to balance out the angular features of the face shape.
For those with a heart-shaped face, I recommend adding more volume at the temples to create a more balanced, oval silhouette.
For those with fine or thin hair, I recommend using a light-hold hairspray to set the style in place.
And a small round brush to add volume and texture to the hair.
For those with thick or coarse hair, I recommend using a larger round brush to add volume and texture to the hair.
And a medium-hold hairspray to set the style in place.
✂️ Face-Shape & Density Quick Match
- Fine-to-Medium Strands: Keep perimeter weight blunt and add micro-ribbons around the face for visual fullness.
- Thick or Wavy Hair: Use internal slide-cutting to release weight so waves stack without triangle bulk.
- Warm vs. Cool Skin Undertones: Pair golden-olive skin with honey, caramel, or espresso glosses; pair cool undertones with champagne, ash, or mocha ribbons.
