1. Why This Salon Cut & Color Formula Works

In my salon chair, I love seeing the transformation from a messy bun to a stunning braid. One of my favorite braids is the Fishtail Braid.

It’s perfect for adding some whimsy to a wedding guest look or a bohemian-inspired evening look.

I always start by sectioning the hair into three parts and then begin the braid, gently picking up small sections of hair as I go.

The key is to keep the tension even and not to pull too tightly, as this can cause the braid to look too neat and tidy.

For a more polished look, I like to use a clear bobby pin to secure the end of the braid, and then finish with a spritz of hairspray to keep everything in place.

This braid is perfect for anyone who wants a braid that looks like it was done by a bohemian artist, not a perfectionist.

It’s effortless and undone, and looks great with a messy, undone hairstyle.
