💬 Sienna’s What-to-Ask-Your-Stylist Script: When getting balayage, ask your stylist to focus on painting the color around the hairline and the edges, rather than just applying it to the ends. This will give you a more natural, sun-kissed look.

1. Why This Salon Cut & Color Formula Works

One of my favorite balayage clients is a woman with black hair who wanted to add some dimension and depth to her locks.

I started by sectioning her hair and applying a lightener to the roots and mid-lengths.

Then, I painted the color on in a sweeping motion, starting at the roots and working my way down to the ends.

The result was a gorgeous, sun-kissed look that made her hair look healthy and vibrant.

I love how balayage adds dimension to the hair without looking too harsh or unnatural.

It’s perfect for black hair, as it adds a subtle, multi-dimensional look that’s perfect for everyday wear.
