2. Customizing for Your Face Shape & Hair Texture
Welcome to Part 2 of my salon guide on Seamless Beige Balayage Ombre Waves.
Every head of hair has its own density, cowlicks, and wave pattern.
Here is how I adjust the proportions behind the chair.

Matching Layers & Tones to Your Features
For those with round or oval face shapes, I recommend adjusting the layers to create a more angular, defined look.
This will help balance out the features and create a more dramatic, asymmetrical style.
On the other hand, those with square face shapes can opt for a more subtle, layered look to soften the angles.
For those with fine or thin hair, I recommend using a color gloss with a 9V/9G tone to create a rich, dimensional look.
This will help add depth and dimension to the hair.
While also enhancing the natural texture.
✂️ Face-Shape & Density Quick Match
- Fine-to-Medium Strands: Keep perimeter weight blunt and add micro-ribbons around the face for visual fullness.
- Thick or Wavy Hair: Use internal slide-cutting to release weight so waves stack without triangle bulk.
- Warm vs. Cool Skin Undertones: Pair golden-olive skin with honey, caramel, or espresso glosses; pair cool undertones with champagne, ash, or mocha ribbons.
