1. Why This Salon Cut & Color Formula Works
As a master hair colorist, I’ve had the pleasure of working with countless clients with medium-length hair. One of my favorite updos to create is the Dutch Braid Updo with a low pony.
It’s a timeless look that never goes out of style. I love how it adds a touch of sophistication to any outfit.
Whether you’re heading to a wedding or just want a chic look for a night out, this updo is sure to impress.
When I’m working with a client, I always start by assessing their face shape and hair texture.
For medium-length hair, I recommend a blunt cut with point-cut internal layers to create a sleek, polished look.
From there, I can start working on the updo. To create a Dutch Braid Updo, I start at the crown and gently pull the strands to avoid tangles.
I then secure the braid with a clear elastic band and finish with a low pony.
