Matching Layers & Tones to Your Features
When it comes to the 8 bob cut, there are a few variations you can try depending on your face shape and hair texture.
If you have a round face, you can opt for a more angular cut with a longer back and shorter front.
This will help elongate your face. If you have a square face, you can go for a softer look with a more curved shape.
And if you have a heart-shaped face, you can try a longer, more asymmetrical cut to balance out your features.
As for the layers, you can choose to add more or fewer depending on your hair texture.
If you have fine hair, you’ll want to add more layers to give it body.
If you have thick hair, you can opt for fewer layers to avoid overwhelming your hair. The key is to find a balance that works for you.
✂️ Face-Shape & Density Quick Match
- Fine-to-Medium Strands: Keep perimeter weight blunt and add micro-ribbons around the face for visual fullness.
- Thick or Wavy Hair: Use internal slide-cutting to release weight so waves stack without triangle bulk.
- Warm vs. Cool Skin Undertones: Pair golden-olive skin with honey, caramel, or espresso glosses; pair cool undertones with champagne, ash, or mocha ribbons.
